Press Brake Operator (1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm)

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machinery to bend, shape, and cut metal or other materials to meet specifications. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong technical skills, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure quality production in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience operating a press brake or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with press brake controls, CNC programming (preferred), and blueprint reading.
- Ability to conduct accurate measurements and make precise adjustments to produce high-quality parts.
- Skills Certification in CNC or other relevant manufacturing training.
- Previous experience with materials commonly used in press brake operations, such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and handle repetitive tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machinery according to job specifications, including adjustments to bending angles, material size, and pressure settings.
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine specific requirements for each job.
- Conduct measurements and inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications and quality standards.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with machine operation, tooling, or material alignment to prevent defects.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machinery and report any equipment issues to maintenance personnel.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, wearing appropriate protective gear, and following established safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, machine settings, and maintenance logs.
