About The Position

The Press Brake Operator will have hands-on experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC press brakes. The range of equipment used to include: 135-ton Cincinnati Maxform, 60-ton Cincinnati Profrom and a 400-ton Accurpress. Press Brake Operators are required to comply with all MPI policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of brake press operating experience (setup experience required)
• Strong ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, etc.)
• Understanding of material types, bend allowances, and forming techniques
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
• Strength Level: 25-40 pounds
• anything over 40 pounds will need two people or lifting assist device

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Cincinnati and/or Accurpress equipment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brakes to form parts per prints and work orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and bend charts.
• Select proper tooling, punches, and dies for each job.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Make adjustments to programs and setups as needed.
• Maintain tight tolerances and consistent part quality.
• Perform and maintain basic cleaning of the work area every shift
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
• Work safely and follow all safety procedures.
• All other duties assigned
