About The Position

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for processing quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a press brake.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions
• Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of using measuring devices
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
• Ability to read and understand work orders
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
• Demonstrated reliable work history
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks

Responsibilities

• Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.
• Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed
• Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.
• Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions made and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary
• Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Report needed changes
• Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives
