About The Position

The Press Brake & Laser Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC Press Brakes and Laser equipment. This role ensures high-quality, precise sheet metal fabrication while maintaining safety, efficiency, and accurate documentation.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience operating Press Brake machines
2 years experience with Laser or similar CNC equipment preferred
Proficient in reading technical blueprints, 2D CAD files, and fabrication drawings
Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication procedures
Skilled in using the metric system
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic environment
Lift, move, or transfer up to 50 lbs regularly
Stand, bend, squat, crouch, and walk for extended periods
Work in noisy or hot environments
Specific vision abilities: near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Nice To Haves

Experience with Amada CNC equipment a plus

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC Press Brakes
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to produce parts with correct shapes, angles, and measurements
Inspect dimensions and quality of all fabricated parts
Operate Amada Laser, Punch, and Shear machines as needed
Handle raw material and finished parts safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate records of production output
Manage raw stock inventory and scrap disposal
Communicate with programmers and sheet metal supervisors to prioritize workflow
Perform preventive maintenance on machinery
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
Assist other production operations as needed
