Responsibilities: Reads and interprets engineering drawings, manufacturing manuals, and verbal/written instructions to plan machine setup, make proper adjustments, and select appropriate tooling. Operates CNC press brake and laser equipment in accordance with prescribed specifications and instructions. Uses proper tooling and adjusts tools as needed to ensure correct machine operation. Verifies material thickness according to drawing BOM requirements. Inspects parts at the start of production (firstâpiece inspection) and at the end of the fabrication process to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances using precision measuring instruments. Follows all safety procedures, including machine guarding, forklift and hoist operation, and general housekeeping requirements. Removes tabs and deburrs parts after cutting as required. Records all jobs in the task management system, ensuring accurate quantities and documentation. Places completed parts neatly with job orders and stages them for the next work center. Cleans or replaces laser slats as needed. Empties dust collectors and scrap bins as required. Makes minor adjustments to CAD drawing files when necessary to meet laser cutting standards. Qualifications: High School degree or equivalent. 1 to 3+ years’ experience operating metalworking equipment (preferred) Ability to read and interpret measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers Detail and quality oriented Ability to read and interpret blueprints Mechanical aptitude along with good math skills, problem solving skills Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Follows all safety requirements, wearing proper PPE, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job.
