About The Position

Teachers are responsible for overseeing children and assisting the team in developing and implementing new curriculum and activities of an Early Achievers licensed child care facility available to mothers completing a long term residential behavioral health program in Everett. About you: We are looking for someone who is consistent and able to be at work on time and with a great attitude. It would be great if you have your STARS requirements and portable background check, however we are willing to work with the right fit to achieve these goals. Please have child care experiences and references who can speak to your ability to work in a child care center. We also rotate classrooms with our teachers, please be willing to work with all ages of children from 4 weeks to 5 years old. Also working in a child care environment can be physically demanding, lifting of infants and children is often required as part of the job. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the early education of children in the preschool component of a residential behavioral health facility serving pregnant and parenting mothers and their children. Duties and responsibilities of Child Care Teachers develop and deliver interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children. Teachers assist in planning and implementing a program that meets individual needs of the children with concerns for their interests, abilities, special talents, and pace and style of learning. The program requires teachers to be considerate of the cultural and socioeconomic background of the children and treat each child with dignity and respect. Responsibilities

  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the age, interests and learning styles of children.
  • Assist in planning, supervising, and implementing the program for class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of school.
  • Participate in training programs, conferences, and recommended courses. Maintain 10 STARS hours/credits per year of continuing education/training as required by WAC.
  • Registration with DCYF MERIT system upon hiring
  • Complete and maintain First Aid and Infant and Adult CPR certifications
  • Obtain and maintain a food handlers’ card
