About The Position

Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking a loving and attentive Preschool Floater Teacher to join our team. Our infant program provides a safe, nurturing environment where the youngest learners can explore, grow, and reach important developmental milestones — all while feeling secure and supported. As a Preschool Floater Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to: Provide a warm, responsive, and engaging classroom experience that supports each child’s individual needs. Build strong, trusting relationships with families through daily communication and care updates. Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment where infants can develop curiosity, confidence, and early learning skills. Collaborate with your teaching team to maintain consistent routines, meet licensing standards, and uphold our school’s commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and have one of the following:
  • Completed 6 Core ECE Units in Early Childhood Education and be enrolled in the remaining 6 Core ECE Units.
  • an awarded CDA in Preschool.
  • 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center.
  • Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.
  • A nurturing personality with patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with babies.
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In general, this position requires an individual to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language. This position is regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction.
