About The Position

The Learning Experience – East Brunswick is hiring a caring and motivated Preschool Teacher to support our classroom for children ages 3–4. Our preschool program emphasizes school readiness, creativity, early academics, and social-emotional development through structured routines and play-based learning. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys guiding preschoolers as they build independence, confidence, and foundational learning skills in a positive daycare and preschool environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework a plus
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
Must meet all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities

Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom for preschool-aged children
Lead age-appropriate activities including circle time, early literacy, art, and hands-on learning
Encourage positive peer interactions, emotional regulation, and problem-solving
Support daily classroom routines such as meals, transitions, rest time, and small-group activities
Communicate regularly with families regarding progress, routines, and milestones
Maintain classroom cleanliness and ensure compliance with New Jersey childcare licensing standards
Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to support classroom success
