Requirements

Minimum Age: 18 years and older
High school diploma or equivalent
6 months of experience in early childhood education providing direct supervision to children 3-5 years old
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
Self-motivation and ability to prioritize personal responsibilities and accomplish job tasks with autonomy from close supervision.
Shows a knowledge and love of working with children.
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.

Responsibilities

Responsible for supervision and safety of children
Prepare materials required to implement daily activities
Ensure the general health, welfare, and well-being of each child
Assisting in lunch preparations and snacks
Daily cleaning of classroom and materials
Exhibit initiative by demonstrating leadership without being prompted
Be an active participant in activities with the children
Responsible for being a good communicator to all children, parents, supervisors, and co-workers, providing excellent customer service.
Enroll and attend 16 hours of off-site in-service annually.
Learn and observe all JCPRD guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
