Requirements

  • 90-hour preschool certification or CDA
  • Strong knowledge of child development and best practices
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and support child safety requirements
  • Background check eligibility
  • Basic Health & Safety and ADA training
  • CPR/First Aid preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • 1–2 years of lead or co-lead classroom experience

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Lead classroom management and maintain a safe, nurturing environment
  • Guide and mentor assistant teachers to ensure consistent classroom quality
  • Observe and document children’s developmental progress
  • Communicate daily with families about activities, milestones, and learning goals
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety standards
