About The Position

The Tulsa World, a Lee Enterprises company, is seeking a Prepress Technician for the afternoon/evening shift, once they are trained on the day shift. A Prepress Technician is a hands-on position that operates various prepress equipment to process customer files to produce proofs and plates for final print job. Duties include making proofs and plates for printing and performing maintenance to the plating/proofing lines. This position will also read and accurately interpret production orders, etc. All duties are performed under general guidance of a supervisor, and in a safe manner. Why Join Us? Requirements

  • Must possess good mechanical and digital troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must be proficient with computers, including programs such as Windows 11, Google Chrome, and Outlook Email.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively organize information, materials, and time.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with co-workers, supervisors and other departments.
  • Ability to produce accurate work.
  • Must be able to learn new software and operate new equipment.
  • On-site, regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • May be required to occasionally work overtime as needed.
