About The Position

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer/Prepress Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of visual design principles, be proficient in Adobe CC design software and be aware of production requirements (digital print/offset print/inkjet print/large format). This role involves creating compelling graphics for digital and print media, checking supplied files for production suitability, and creating output files for production devices.

Requirements

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) is essential.
Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and visual composition.
Experience in branding, logo design, illustration, and production design.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and output requirements.
A portfolio showcasing a range of graphic design projects is preferred.
Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must have worked in the print industry and designed for print and large format output.

Nice To Haves

Experience with variable data printing programs, large format and vehicle graphics a plus.
Technical experience supporting a Mac environment a plus.
Experience with Microsoft tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher a plus.
Previous relevant experience at a printshop like Minuteman, Alphagraphics, Fedex Office, UPS store, Office Depot, Office Max or Kinko's preferred.
Experience working as part of a creative team to meet company needs.

Responsibilities

Check (prepress) customer-supplied files for ability to print or output and produce proofs or respond with corrections needed.
Create output files for production devices such as digital, offset, large format and label printing devices.
Using InDesign, produce variable data outputs by merging data files with templates.
Develop innovative graphic designs for marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, and social media content.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop) for various projects, including prepress.
Engage in photo manipulation and digital art creation as necessary.
Participate in presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
