About The Position
The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a nurturing and dependable Preppers Teacher to support children approximately ages 2½–3 as they transition from toddler routines into early preschool learning. This classroom focuses on independence, communication skills, and structured play-based instruction. At The Learning Experience, early education is made joyful, engaging, and fun, ensuring children are happy to learn, play, and grow. The curriculum focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development, engaging children in hands-on learning activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development. A full cast of characters acts as educators, partners, and friends, bringing learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong teamwork and classroom support skills
- Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing standards
Nice To Haves
- Prior childcare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines for children approximately ages 2½–3
- Support early language, social, and problem-solving development
- Implement age-appropriate learning activities aligned with center curriculum
- Guide children through transitions including meals, rest time, and learning centers
- Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities
- Follow all New Jersey licensing and safety requirements
