About The Position

Pizza Delicious is looking for an experienced prep/line cook to join our kitchen team! The ideal candidate for this position is quality-focused, pays attention to detail, self-driven and works well as part of a team. Intermediate knife skills are required. Production or prep cook experience is required; line cooking experience is preferred. About this position: We are searching for the perfect candidate to fill out our morning crew. You will be working in a shared kitchen alongside our pizza team. This position is mostly prep/production focused, but will include at least one pasta/salad line cooking shift. You will be expected to handle a knife on a regular basis, lift up to 50 lb, work over an open-flame stove, label and rotate product, use safe food handling techniques, closely follow written instructions / recipes, check in and put away orders, among other activities. We are a high volume restaurant with a small kitchen, and sharing space/working around other staff will be key! About the hours: This position is 3-4 regularly scheduled morning shifts per week (~24-32 hours / week), and requires weekday and weekend availability. There will be ample opportunity for picking up shifts and for cross training in other arenas of the restaurant. Flexibility and willingness to pick up shifts on occasion is preferred. About our payscale: This position starts at $22-25/hr ($13/hr plus weekly tip pool split across the entire staff: average $9-13 / hr). We conduct employee reviews every six months; at your first review and most subsequent reviews, you are eligible for a raise. About our benefits: We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance policies to employees who work 28+ per week. We pay 50% of the medical premium. Employees who work with us for over a year, and work at least 25 hrs per week are eligible for a 401k retirement account with matching contributions.
