About The Position

Waters Edge Lodge is looking for a Prep-Cook/Cook! We are looking for someone to work some prep- and some cook shifts, to make full-time work. Prep days are $19.50 per hour, cook days are $21.00 per hour This is a great position for someone who wants to start moving up in the back of house! Waters Edge Lodge is nestled in a unique and peaceful setting on the lagoon of Harbor Bay. Our 100 apartments provide a warm and familiar atmosphere where residents can maintain an independent and active lifestyle. We offer an extensive list of programs and activities, creating a stimulating social atmosphere where friendships develop and thrive. We are a pet friendly community, residents may have animals in their private apartments.

Requirements

18 years of age
Ability to work effectively with all personality types
Knowledge of kitchen machines and utensils
Knowledge of sanitation and safety requirements in food preparation and serving
Ability to cook, bake, and prepare food in large quantities
Ability to follow menus including those with special diets
Ability to follow written and oral directions
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Push/pull 75 pounds up to 100 feet
Current COVID-19 vaccination
Routine COVID tests
Physical TB test
Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and Dept of Justice

Responsibilities

Food prep and portioning prior to service
Stock shelves with incoming supplies
Perform routine cleaning tasks
Washing dishes and helping maintain a clean kitchen environment
Cook and prepare menu items in accordance with provided menus
Meeting visual service standards including proper plating and service of menu items
Ensuring compliance with prescribed diets
Maintain safety and cleanliness of kitchen environment
