Premium Services Representative I Build a strong foundation in insurance operations as a Premium Services Representative I, where customer service and teamwork make a meaningful impact. Requirements

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively.
  • Proficiency in insurance administration systems or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Adherence to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical and analytical duties associated with a minimum of two payment processes.
  • Open mail, scan documents, process, and balance premium payments based on procedures.
  • Correspond with home office staff, members, field representatives and payors by e-mail, letter, or telephone on a wide variety of billing questions.
  • Review, research, correct and record payment discrepancies.
  • Analyze insufficient payments, adjust accounting, reconcile reporting, and send notification regarding returned debits and checks.
  • Establish loan repayment billing and process loan payments.
  • Review and process output and reports for payment processes, mail checks, and letters.
  • Establish, adjust, or cancel automatic bank check (ABC) plans as directed by the member or field representatives.
  • Analyze and process cancelation requests.
  • Review and process a wide variety of daily and monthly audit reports.
  • Upload and download payment files to the system and bank.
  • Process work items in the Service and Workflow queues accurately and proficiently.
  • Gather data from certificate transactions to complete premium history requests.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of systems, certificate transactions, Modern Woodmen policies and procedures, state laws, tax laws, and departmental procedures related to Premium Services functions.
  • Provide input on department procedures and create and maintain form letters for the department to use in common situations.
  • Refer questionable cases to Premium Services Representative II, Analyst or Supervisor.

Benefits

  • Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $19.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a full-time office focused position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM. Office focused positions work on-site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
