About The Position

Ready to spark imaginations and help future adventurers take their first big steps? Wonderspring is searching for a PreK Counts Lead Teacher at our Star 4 Powelton Village center! This is a full-time, 10-month position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In this key role, you’ll guide your classroom team in bringing to life lessons inspired by the Creative Curriculum and PA Early Learning Standards. Together, we’ll build a cheerful, curiosity-fueled environment where every child’s confidence, creativity, and wonder can soar! Requirements

BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education, plus a valid PA N-3 or PreK-4 Instructional I Certification.
At least two years' experience with preschoolers in an educational setting.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents/guardians.
Ability to maintain high level standards of confidentiality regarding center, staff, and family matters.
Understanding of DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards.
Proficient in managing a multicultural classroom environment.
Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.

Responsibilities

Create hands-on lessons that turn ordinary days into colorful adventures.
Post your weekly lesson plans where parents can see so they know what exciting escapades their little ones are enjoying.
Keep an eagle eye on our little adventurers, ensuring their well-being and comfort. Less “No, don’t do that!” and more “Let’s try it this way!”
Maintain a cheerful, can-do attitude with children, parents, and colleagues (yes, even when someone spills glitter everywhere!).
Gently guide children toward positive behavior choices using techniques like FLIP IT and Second Step.
Observe, document, and celebrate each child’s progress, sharing their victories (big and small) with proud parents.
Keep parents in the loop with updates and celebrate their children’s achievements. Invite them to Family/Teacher Conferences where you’ll team up to help their child shine bright!
