About The Position

The Prefabrication Lead will oversee daily prefabrication activities, ensuring electrical assemblies are produced accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role supports workflow coordination, provides hands-on technical expertise and serves as the primary liaison between the prefabrication shop and project teams.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in electrical assembly, electrical construction, or related prefabrication work
  • MA Journeyman License required
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, conduit bending, and panelboard assembly
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience in a shop or field environment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical instructions
  • Skilled in using hand tools, light-duty machinery, and basic shop equipment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and support assemblers in the preparation and assembly of electrical components and systems
  • Coordinate daily workflow, assign tasks, and ensure production schedules and deadlines are met
  • Review assembly instructions, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and clarity
  • Train team members on assembly methods, wiring techniques, conduit bending, equipment use, and shop best practices
  • Perform complex electrical assembly tasks including advanced wiring, panelboard work, conduit bending, and fixture preparation
  • Monitor quality of completed assemblies and ensure materials meet project requirements
  • Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and equipment; communicate needs proactively
  • Enforce safety practices, conduct basic safety checks, and support a clean, organized work environment
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and procurement on upcoming needs or adjustments
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and recommend improvements to processes and efficiency
  • Document production activity as required
