About The Position

The Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Analyst is responsible for execution and analysis of Preventative (PM)/ Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques/technologies to determine functional status of equipment. Based on PM/PdM findings, you will make recommendations on changes/modifications to equipment asset policies and stay informed of the latest PM/PdM techniques and tools and recommend applications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 7 years of mechanical/rotating equipment experience or Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of mechanical/rotating equipment experience
  • ISO Category II Vibration Certification
  • The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe
  • Familiarity with SKF Aptitude Analyst software
  • Basic understanding of design, operation, and maintenance of rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with PdM technologies and introductory analysis skills
  • Awareness of general maintenance procedures and work processes, such as planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Proficiency in basic MS Office applications
  • Developing foundational analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic oral and written communication skills, with a focus on learning effective communication within the organization
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to be a productive member of a team

Nice To Haves

  • ISO Category I Thermography Certification
  • SAP competence
  • Familiar with PM/PdM principles
  • Experience in reliability centered engineering

Responsibilities

  • Execute vibration analysis of equipment vibration readings in assigned area(s).
  • Assist in performing periodic thermography analysis of electrical equipment with oversight from experienced team members.
  • Assist in troubleshooting via vibration analysis under supervision to address immediate issues as needed.
  • Initiate notifications for needed actions; Follow-up on repairs that were undertaken based on PM/PdM readings or trends.
  • Set up computer software with machine data and establish/adjust threshold levels for each machine, with training and support provided.
  • Follow up on unexpected failures to determine if inspection/analysis techniques require modification to provide the proper indication of potential future failure.
  • Collaborate with engineering and rotating equipment experts to determine required changes to FMEA/RCM/EMP
  • Administer PdM activities in assigned areas, ensuring compliance with activity schedules, with team support.
  • Support unit engineers and reliability personnel through data collection and analysis to assist with RCA to eliminate recurring failures as needed.
