About The Position

We are seeking a Preconstruction Estimator for assignment in Fort Worth, Texas. The selected candidate will primarily work with a team to prepare estimates by reviewing and comprehending scope documents. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm This position can work a Hybrid schedule

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• A valid Drivers License
• 5 - 10+ years of estimating and construction experience related to buildings and civil works
• Proficient in Sage Timberline, MII estimating software and BlueBeam (Heavy Bid is a plus)
• Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in all projects phases
• Alternative delivery procurement experience
• Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule

Nice To Haves

• Certifications such as a CEP, CCP, PMP or CCM are a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop capital cost estimates for projects
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types
• Review and validate change orders
• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs
• Attend project meetings as required
• Develop project work breakdown structures
• Calculate complete scope of work take-offs
• Assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors
• Apply construction means and methods
• Calculate indirect field and owner’s costs
