Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar technical field
  • 2-5 years of experience in operations, procurement, estimating, scheduling, or supply chain management teams
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction management industry or A/E industry (demonstrating business acumen)
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft software
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and outside representatives
  • Knowledge of regional building codes, standards, and/or requirements
  • Working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques
  • Expanding knowledge of drawings/specs for all trades and disciplines
  • Expanding knowledge of region-specific code requirements and effects on building construction

Responsibilities

  • Assists with Request for Proposal (RFP) response, including assembling the deliverable response matrix, client interview content, and final RFP submission
  • Coordinates information conformance between preconstruction departments, operations team, and business development. Coordinates internal and external (subcontractor) meetings as necessary
  • Assists the preconstruction team in phased responsibilities such as estimating, purchasing, economic inclusion, scheduling, logistics, market outreach, bidding, and design team coordination
  • Schedules and conducts well organized pre-bid conferences
  • Develops positive relationships with trade contractors and vendors through external networking, events, etc.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external partners
  • Organizes supporting documentation for supervisor analysis and review
  • Performs analysis and general scope reviews of subcontractor budget pricing
  • Maintains the project Teams site
  • Provides holistic document control of internal documents, including case studies performed and documents shared with the client
  • Conducts initial market outreach to subcontractors during entire preconstruction phase
  • Creates bid package list and work breakdown structure after review of project documents
