A day in the life In Wyoming, IL, you’ll begin by reviewing cut lists and blueprints, confirming measurements, and planning the order of cuts. You’ll prep the work cell, stage materials with the crane, and set up the saws. Throughout the day, you’ll make precise cuts, verify tolerances with calipers and micrometers, and keep production flowing safely and efficiently. What you’ll do Run and care for a variety of saws to cut raw materials to exact specifications. Perform pre- and post-cut inspections to verify quality and dimensional accuracy. Fine‑tune saw settings to match different material types and stock sizes. Follow established safety procedures and keep your area clean and organized. Work closely with teammates to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks. Record production counts and promptly report issues to your supervisor. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent. Experience operating saws or similar production equipment (preferred). Sharp attention to detail and comfort taking precise measurements. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with saw operations. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong dedication to safety and product quality.
