About The Position

The ATDM CNC Manufacturing Technician must be a driven individual to assist with an accelerated, short-term program in advanced manufacturing. Duties may include but are not limited to machine set-up lab for instruction, setting up fixtures and tooling, aiding the instructor during lab activities, maintaining consumables inventory, maintenance of cutting fluids, and limited preventative maintenance on CNC and manual machine tools. This position may require travel and work on nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, Precision Machining Technology Diploma (or equivalent) and significant related occupational experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a widely diverse staff and student population
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Shop safety
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
  • Technical math, including trigonometry
  • Lean and Six Sigma
  • CAD/CAM software applications
  • Programming, set-up and operation of CNC machine tools
  • Multi-axis machining
  • Advanced tooling practices
  • Microsoft Office

Responsibilities
