About The Position

At Dorner Manufacturing, our Built-to-Order (BTO) cell turns components into the high-performance conveyor systems that power modern industry. On second shift, you’ll bring assemblies to life with careful hands, sharp eyes, and pride in quality. Day-in-the-Life You clock in Monday–Thursday at 2:00pm and wrap up at 12:30am. In between, you: Interpret work orders and blueprints to assemble conveyors and subassemblies with a variety of hand tools. Follow all safety procedures and 5S practices to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area. Inspect completed work, perform quality checks, and correct defects. Collaborate with teammates and support other tasks as assigned. What Success Looks Like You’re proficient with mechanical assembly and bring hands-on experience from a manufacturing environment. You care about doing it right, every time. Requirements

  • Strong teammate with clear, respectful communication.
  • Comfort with basic computer use, measurement, and math.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints.
  • Flexibility to shift priorities as needs change.
  • Detail orientation and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to safely lift, lower, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
