About The Position

Shape precision components on 2nd or 3rd shift in Milwaukee Join an established precision engineering company near Timmerman Airport and take ownership of full-cycle machining—programming, setup, and operation—across mills and lathes. Location Milwaukee, WI (near Timmerman Airport) Your day-to-day On your shift, you’ll review prints and routings, plan tooling and fixturing, write or edit G & M code, and run both manual and CNC equipment to hold tight tolerances and fine finishes.

Requirements

5+ years of machinist experience
Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training
Strong math aptitude
Hands-on CNC programming knowledge (G & M code required)
Ability to read/interpret prints, specifications, and routings

Responsibilities

Build parts using both manual machines and CNC machining centers
Create accurate CNC programs and verify code prior to first run
Set up, prove out, and operate mills and lathes to exacting tolerances
Design/arrange fixturing; mount and secure workpieces
Set stops and calibrate fixtures to appropriate reference points
Load programs/cards via the console; correlate machine position with controls
Manually step through operations to validate tooling, clearances, speeds, and feeds
Recommend tooling and process sequences for complex or first-time parts
