About The Position

Precision CNC Production Machinist Location: Rochester, NY Employment: Full-time, 2nd shift Compensation: $25–$31 per hour (experience-based) + 10% shift differential + consistent overtime (about 15 hours/week) Schedule: Core 2nd-shift hours typically begin at 3:45 PM and run to about 12:30 AM. With regular overtime, your day commonly extends to approximately 2:00–2:30 AM. A day in the life You clock in to a clean, climate-controlled facility, power up your machine, and review the day’s blueprints. You’ll load tools, set offsets, and run a first article, verifying dimensions using micrometers and calipers. Throughout the run, you make thoughtful offset adjustments, perform in-process inspections, and document results according to company procedures. You tag parts, maintain tight tolerances using GD&T, and keep your station organized and safe. Along the way, you contribute to lean initiatives and continuous improvement while collaborating with teammates in a modern shop with state-of-the-art equipment.
