We’re a precision manufacturing company in the northwest suburbs of Chicago seeking an expert CNC lathe professional to run start-to-finish setups and drive production quality. If you excel at programming adjustments in G & M code and love solving machining challenges, you’ll thrive here.
Requirements
- 5+ years in CNC lathe machining
- Advanced knowledge of setups and direct G & M code programming
- Comfort with complex blueprints and tight tolerances
- Hands-on experience with steel, stainless, and aluminum
- Self-driven, dependable, and detail-obsessed
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes from first piece through completion
- Load programs; edit and troubleshoot G & M code
- Execute tool changes, offsets, and thorough prove-outs
- Read prints and apply GD&T to achieve dimensional accuracy
- Measure critical features with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Protect quality while hitting production targets
- Partner with engineering and supervision to resolve issues quickly
