Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication skills, written and oral
Strong computer skills
Excellent customer service
Analytical
Detailed oriented
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Able to work independently as well as function as a team player

Nice To Haves

2+ years medical office experience preferred
2+ years medical insurance experience preferred

Responsibilities

The Precertification Specialist is responsible for understanding all aspects of the patient’s insurance and authorization requirements.
Responsibilities include insurance eligibility, benefit verification, precertification/authorization, account follow up, and documentation.
The position requires direct communication with patients, insurance companies and other team members.
Multitasking skills are a must.
