About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Procedure Insurance verification for all office and hospital based procedures. 2. Obtain any prior authorization needed for procedures or diagnostic imaging. 3. Communicate with patients the monetary amount due at time of the procedure. 4. Schedule patients for office and hospital based procedures. 5. Stay current with insurance requirements and plan changes. 6. Answer all voicemails and telephone encounters. 7. Assist in Front Desk areas when needed. 8. Works with hospital endoscopy department to schedule patients. 9. Other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, use fractions.
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Presents solid keyboard skills
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of EndoSoft, eClinicalWorks, and hospital browser software.
  • Must be able and willing to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Medical Assistant Certification
