Pre-Sales Solutions Architect In this role, you will: Work directly with customers in a pre-sales capacity to gather custom software-based integration and/or automation requirements leveraging Client's REST APIs and various third-party APIs Partner with Client account teams and other pre-sales roles with Client to guide the requirements gathering process with the customer Become an expert in Client's products and how to build cohesive integrations and automations that interact with Smartsheet products Design and document custom software-based integration and automation processes Provide level of effort estimates (and calculated costs based on standard hourly rates) Write services contracts (in partnership with other Smartsheet pre-sales resources) including well-defined scope, effort, and costs based on gathered customer requirements and your recommended designs Present solution designs and contract proposals to customers Work with our team of post-sales solutions architects to validate designs and estimated efforts

Requirements

  • Experience working in a pre-sales technical role, such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
  • Experience working with customers directly to gather technical requirements
  • Deep understanding of REST APIs and solution architecture using REST APIs
  • Understanding of API-based integration processes and designs
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences to define and document desired integration or automation outcomes within Smartsheet products
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity
  • Confident in designing and recommending best practices for integration and/or automation architectures
  • Ability to present solution proposals with confidence and talk in-depth about your design choices and pros/cons of alternative approaches

Nice To Haves

  • Backend software development experience preferred but not required
