Job Summary Shift: 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6:30 am - 8:00 pm. Floating is required as needed. On-call is required. Under the direction of the CVIR Manager within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, responsible for performing pre-operative nursing assessment of Interventional patients. Coordinate the pre-operative process (i.e. diagnostic testing and scheduling process for patients to be prepared for day of surgery). Identify and document findings. Communicate appropriate information to MD, nursing personnel, social services, etc. This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Requirements

  • Other Certificate/Diploma Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts] required
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
  • Experience with the Peri-operative nursing process 3-5 years required
  • Strong assessment skills evidenced by experience or evaluation required.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve inter-disciplinary and interdepartmental problems in an effective manner required.
  • Demonstrated effective use of change process required.

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
