Pre-Press Technician
About The Position
The Prepress Technician provides EPP support to, and is to be located within the Litho Label Work Cell. This position will also provide EPP support to the Prepress Department when litho demand fluctuates. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements Create and manipulate Mac & PC files with several different graphic design programs Work with the Macintosh platforms utilizing Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat PDF files Pre-flight documents according to printing standards and make necessary adjustments to all types of files to ready them for print and digital reproduction Interact with customer service, external customers and other business leaders regarding the status of jobs and in problem-solving scenarios Learn new equipment and procedures quickly and easily pass on this knowledge to others Apply knowledge of imposition, color separation and trapping for press Coordinate Press OKs, and work with press operators to manage projects without guidance Create mylar dieline layouts Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
