About The Position
Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Pre- Mounter for our Printing Department in Sibley Iowa. SCOPE OF POSITION Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position efficiently and effectively mounts printing plates onto print cylinders to speed the press change-over process. Mounting and proofing the print jobs prior to installation greatly affects the productivity and profitability of the printing department. Efficient and accurate mounting means less time that press operators have to spend changing over the press and the sooner the job is ready to run. Continuous Improvement Teams, long ago, determined that the key to improved printing productivity meant mounting/proofing offline. In the absence of the Pre-Mounter, the Production Manager’s designate will assume the responsibilities of this position.
