About The Position

A Tire Mounter installs, removes, repairs, and balances tires on a variety of vehicles and equipment. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and essential for keeping customer vehicles safe and road‑ready.

Requirements

• Experience with tire mounting equipment (or willingness to learn)
• Ability to lift and move heavy tires and wheels (often 50–100 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast‑paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in a tire shop or automotive service center
• Experience with on-road or off‑road tires

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, and rotate passenger, light‑truck, or commercial tires
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and safety concerns
• Repair punctures and perform patching or plug repairs following safety standards
• Operate tire‑changing machines, balancers, air tools, and hand tools
• Torque wheels to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and handling of tires and supplies
• Provide basic customer service and explain tire issues when needed
• Follow all shop safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE use
