About The Position

McDivitt Law Firm is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Assistant to join our Denver office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. Our firm focuses on Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation, and we are looking for a dependable professional who can help keep cases moving efficiently while supporting both clients and attorneys. This is a full-time, fully in-office position, Monday through Friday, in our Denver office.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • Personal injury and/or law firm experience preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in a legal assistant, case assistant, claims, customer service, or office support role preferred
  • At least 1 year of office-based customer service experience required
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and follow-up skills required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Accurate typing speed of 65 WPM required; typing assessment will be administered
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Send initial representation and file letters to insurance companies and other interested parties
  • Request police reports, photographs, and other incident-related documentation
  • Request, organize, and follow up on medical records and billing records
  • Assist with claim setup and communication with insurance carriers
  • Draft routine correspondence and assist with preparation of case-related documents
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in the case management system
  • Calendar and follow up on outstanding items
  • Post entries to client accounts, as applicable
  • Answer phones and provide professional customer service to clients and vendors
  • Greet and assist clients and visitors to ensure exceptional client service
  • Support attorneys and staff with general administrative and office needs
  • Cover the front desk during the lunch hour and for morning and afternoon breaks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
