Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. The Pre-Analytics Processing Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and quality of laboratory specimens prior to testing. Working within a high-volume receiving laboratory at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus, this role focuses exclusively on specimen accessioning and manual processing—no testing is performed. Technicians handle urine and blood specimens that often cannot be recollected, making accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards essential. Daily responsibilities include specimen processing, quality assurance checks, and routine equipment maintenance in a fast-paced environment. Caregivers are responsible for accessioning and manually processing specimens while managing multiple priorities efficiently. This role requires consistent execution of daily quality assurance activities and equipment upkeep, along with the ability to maintain precision under time-sensitive conditions. Strong organizational skills and reliability are key to supporting uninterrupted laboratory operations. This role expands on these responsibilities with advanced manual processing, problem-solving, and complex accessioning and data entry tasks. Technicians at this level apply deeper laboratory knowledge to interpret and accession reference laboratory specimens and are expected to be comfortable with data collection and basic data analytics.
