Colonial Gateway Veterinary Center , located in beautiful Boynton Beach, FL, is looking for a full-time Practice Manager to join our team! We proudly operate alongside our sister practice, Colonial Animal Hospital , located less than 3 miles away. As Practice Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the hospital’s business operations, working closely with our Medical Directors to ensure high-quality patient care while optimizing business performance. You will have the autonomy to make decisions, manage daily operations, and lead a high-performing team. Your focus will be on maximizing hospital efficiency, enhancing client service, and driving sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a multi-location management role within a veterinary practice or hospital setting (e.g., Practice Manager, Hospital Administrator, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Candidates with experience leading a large team of doctors at a single location will also be considered.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive results and create a motivated, high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management and performance analysis.
  • A passion for innovation, creativity, and driving positive change.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while independently managing day-to-day operations.
  • Willingness to relocate to or commute to Boynton Beach, Florida

Responsibilities

  • Human Resources Management Recruit, develop, and retain an engaged and motivated team.
  • Provide thorough training to new hires and create ongoing educational opportunities for the team.
  • Lead regular staff and doctor meetings in collaboration with the Medical Director to foster communication and team cohesion.
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative culture aligned with VetEvolve’s core values: Serve, Evolve, Trust.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to safety and security protocols.
  • Business Operations Optimize workflows and staffing to ensure efficient operations and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including payroll, revenue, and inventory to meet financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Regional Manager to drive organic growth initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve hospital performance goals.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure proper use of software systems for accurate client and patient records.
  • Ensure the hospital’s equipment is properly maintained and up-to-date.
  • Promote continuous improvement in all areas, from patient care to business performance.
  • Take on additional duties as needed to meet the needs of the hospital and community.
