About The Position

Golden State Dermatology is a physician-led and owned dermatology group rapidly expanding across California, with over 37 locations. We are a leading medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology group specializing in skin, hair, and nail conditions, Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancer, surgical and non-surgical cosmetic skincare, anti-aging, body contouring, and plastic surgery. As a Practice Manager with Golden State Dermatology, you would be responsible for the day to day operations of the Torrance office location and play a key leadership role in the team. This would include administrative, financial, and supervisory tasks of the office. Duties can include but are not limited to- Supervision of the front and back office teams and any other staff within the office. Providing feedback when needed and requested. Management of staffing for the office. Ensuring that the office is fully staffed, utilizing the right amount of staffing for the schedule. Provide support and communication with the in office physicians, physician-assistants, and other health care professionals on site Attending and sharing out during management meetings within the organization. Consistent communication with your office team and Director to ensure the smooth operations of your office site. Reporting and effective tracking of metrics that are requested from your Director or the organization. Additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Front & Back Office experience in a medical setting (required)
  • Supervision/management of a team larger than 5+ people (required)
  • Previous experience and knowledge of different insurance carriers and pre-authorization protocol (i.e., Medicare, commercial, HMO)
  • Previous experience in EClinicalWorks, EMA, or other EMR software

Nice To Haves

  • Surgery Center administration experience is a plus
  • Previous MOHs/Dermatology experience is a plus
