About The Position

Astute Business Solutions is seeking a visionary Practice Director to lead and grow its PeopleSoft and Banner Business Solutions vertical. As a key member of the leadership team, this role holds end-to-end accountability for the strategic direction, delivery excellence, and P&L of Managed Services and Digital Transformation programs. The position focuses on driving innovation for public sector and enterprise clients by leveraging PeopleSoft and Banner on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Practice Director will serve as the primary executive liaison for high-stakes accounts, ensuring the shared services model delivers peak operational reliability and modernization. Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in ERP consulting, with at least 5+ years in a Director or Practice Lead capacity.
  • Deep Subject Matter Expertise: Proven track record in PeopleSoft (HCM, FSCM, Campus Solutions) and/or Ellucian Banner environments.
  • Multi-Platform Oversight: Experience managing cross-functional programs including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and JD Edwards (JDE).
  • Cloud Modernization: Extensive experience transitioning legacy ERP environments to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
  • Executive Presence: Ability to influence stakeholders and navigate complex political landscapes in Public Sector and Higher Ed.
  • Operational Mastery: Expert understanding of ERP architectures, integrations, security, and OCI shared services models.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing multi-million dollar program budgets and financial forecasting.
  • Talent Development: A proven ability to recruit, retain, and upskill top-tier ERP consulting talent.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or equivalent executive leadership certification is preferred.
  • Strong background supporting Higher Education or State & Local Government (Public Sector) clients is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define the roadmap for the PeopleSoft and Banner practice, aligning service offerings with emerging AI and Cloud trends.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including solution architecting, estimating, and presenting to C-suite prospects.
  • Own the P&L for the practice, managing margins, resource utilization, and contract renewals.
  • Oversee the delivery of full-lifecycle ERP Managed Services, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to SLAs, service-delivery metrics, and operational excellence.
  • Manage and mentor a global team of onshore/offshore functional and technical leads.
  • Serve as the executive escalation point for client program sponsors.
  • Drive "Continuous Innovation" programs, helping clients move beyond maintenance into ERP optimization and AI integration.
  • Manage complex risk profiles, budgets, and high-level change control across the portfolio.
