About The Position

The Concessions Café Supervisor supports the daily operations of the café and serves as the primary leader on shift when the Concessions Café Manager is not present. This role ensures smooth service execution, proper food safety practices, accurate cash handling, and strong guest engagement. The Supervisor helps train staff, oversee service flow, handle basic administrative tasks, and support the manager with inventory and scheduling tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team during a shift and ensure tasks are completed.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills (POS, emails, simple reporting).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (6–8 hours).
  • Ability to lift 30–40 lbs.
  • Must have or obtain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit.
  • Must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior lead, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the café lead during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth, efficient operations.
  • Support opening and closing procedures, including setup, prep, cleaning, and securing the café.
  • Assign daily tasks to associates and ensure all team members follow service and safety standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guest questions, concerns, and service needs while on duty.
  • Assist the Manager with training new associates on café procedures, POS use, guest service, and product knowledge.
  • Provide on-shift coaching and guidance to ensure consistent service quality.
  • Help support performance expectations and escalate concerns to the Manager when appropriate.
  • Maintain a positive, welcoming café environment for athletes, families, and facility visitors.
  • Jump in to assist with service, prep, cashiering, or product restocking during busy periods.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Assist with cash handling, POS operations, and reconciliation of shift reports.
  • Support product preparation, stocking, rotation, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure food safety practices, temperature logs, and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Report equipment issues, low stock items, or operational concerns to the Manager.
  • Assist with weekly product counts and inventory documentation.
  • Help monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs to the Manager.
