About The Position

Amazon continues to invent with AI to build world-class products, services and
experiences across every part of its business. We are seeking a communications
professional to join our team in a high-impact role supporting Amazon's
strategic AI communications program.

As PR Specialist for Amazon AI Communications, you'll be the connective tissue
that enables communications teams across Amazon to tell more effective AI
stories. You'll manage the flow of competitive intelligence, messaging
resources, subject matter expertise, and strategic counsel to business and
channel teams across Amazon's consumer and enterprise businesses. You'll also
help manage the content pipeline we develop in partnership with those
communicators and with scientists across the company for Amazon Science
(www.amazon.science).

Your day-to-day will blend strategic coordination with hands-on editorial
operations: supporting communications teams with resource distribution and
campaign tracking, managing editorial calendars and podcast production for
Amazon Science, facilitating an engaged community of communications
professionals, and ensuring the right information gets to the right teams at the
right time. Think of it as being the operational backbone that both enables AI
communicators company-wide and runs the editorial engine showcasing Amazon's
technical innovation to external audiences.

This is a unique opportunity for an early-career communications professional to
gain high-visibility experience on a strategic program that shapes how external
audience perceive Amazon's innovation leadership—while building deep
connections across Amazon's global communications organization.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative
by nature—comfortable managing ambiguity and competing priorities. You'll need
strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, exceptional
initiative, and a talent for cross-functional coordination. You should deliver
high-quality work under tight deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention
to detail. Flexibility, creativity, and willingness to jump in wherever needed
are essential.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
• Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

• Experience in technology communications, particularly in AI, cloud computing, or enterprise technology
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
• Experience building and managing internal communities of practice or knowledge-sharing initiatives

Responsibilities

• Manage editorial calendars, regular communications cadence, and engagement activities across the AI communications community
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and subject matter experts to develop and distribute strategic resources
• Track program metrics and develop reporting that surfaces insights and opportunities for improvement
• Provide editorial support including copy review, content coordination, and quality assurance
• Anticipate stakeholder needs and manage time-sensitive communications challenges with sound judgment
• Support CMS operations including metadata management, publications queue, and content audits
