Amazon is seeking a high-judgment and self-motivated communications professional to join our Stores Communications Trust & Reputation Team. This person will play an important role in identifying and rapidly responding to emerging topics and issues across Stores business, with a focus on retail. This is a position for someone who can excel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The role is never boring, and requires a team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. The individual in this role will help manage day-to-day issues and strategically respond to media inquiries, while developing forward-looking scenario plans for emerging news cycles. This person must be able to dive deeply to understand business realities and to communicate clearly with internal and external audience, including senior executives. This person will be responsible for developing statements for media and other external audiences, which requires exceptional writing skills and the ability to manage feedback and edits quickly and concisely. The right candidate works effectively in a matrixed global organization, quickly builds effective working relationships, and maintains high standards under tight deadlines.
