About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic Account Supervisor /Senior Account Supervisor to lead the PR charge from Rise at Seven’s New York office and produce best-in-class digital PR work. You work closely with the delivery team to ensure PR capacity is accurately reflected in Mavenlink and our other management systems, constantly monitoring activity to eliminate and put to use pockets of unused capacity while maintaining a realistic workload for junior team members. You will lead development or all US-based PR staff, mentoring, inspiring and setting a positive example for teams to follow. Your standards and attention to detail are high, and you focus on ensuring all Rise PR output is A-class. You will also manage a portfolio of PR accounts, set strategies, participate in new business activity, and provide strategic support to clients.

Requirements

  • You’ll very likely have a minimum of five years’ experience in US agency roles
  • You have experience working across a variety of sectors - we currently have clients in fashion, sports gambling, consumer technology, retail, travel and personal finance, and we expect to be broadening this as we move forward
  • You want to build and grow a team and an office
  • You are relationship-oriented – you have the gravitas to forge and develop strong client relationships at all levels, from marketing executives to CMOs
  • You are knowledgeable – you provide unrivalled knowledge about clients’ businesses and a thirst to find out more
  • You have an eye for detail - you have a keen eye for detail and the ability to generate that in others, ensuring we maintain high standards of work
  • You are inquisitive – you are naturally up to speed on the latest PR, social media and content marketing tools, techniques, and innovations and how we can implement them to the benefit of our clients
  • You are a delegator – you understand the importance of delegation to keep activities running to schedule and plans established in advance of activity
  • You are a reporting evangelist – you encourage the analysis and evaluation of PR and social media campaigns and have an ability to communicate their importance to junior team members

Responsibilities

  • Lead the US PR team alongside our VP of PR and ensure excellent output, efficient delivery, and motivated team members
  • Support the development and training of team members, working closely with the People team and the VP of PR
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring delivery against client KPIs and expectations
  • Mavenlink expert - you understand how it works and why we use it, and you champion it within the PR team
  • Work closely with our UK and international teams to share resource and development
  • See around corners - you demonstrate an understanding of potential issues facing your clients and offer appropriate solutions
  • Further grow expertise as an expert media relations practitioner, and ensure your team’s media output is exemplary
  • Develop and maintain senior media contacts and develop team media relations and outreach strategies through introductions and face-to-face appointments – use contacts to leverage feature, coverage and content opportunities
  • Develop and maintain talent, influencer, community and network relationships
  • Lead, organise and participate in internal creative ideation
  • Inspire team in day-to-day creativity
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, developments, and opportunities – and share with team
  • Ensure regular internal meetings take place on all clients – with team roles and responsibilities established on a weekly basis
  • Ensure that all client & internal deadlines are respected and adhered to (for you & direct reports)
  • Deliver written documents and communication with an excellent attention to detail
  • Fully understand client finances and billing processes and how the agency makes money
  • Create budget planners for projects/ campaigns
  • Liaise with client on production budgets for each campaign activity – ensure all budgets are approved
  • Manage expectations. Upward manage at all times – ensure senior team is aware of all challenges and issues (personal and client related)
  • Act as a positive role model for your direct team, peers and across the wider businessManage PDP’s for PR
  • Lead/senior members of the team and other direct reports - create KPIs and objectives during review processes
