About The Position

You will bridge the gap between simulation and reality, ensuring our engines and drivelines meet the rigorous demands of global motorsport competition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent technical degree.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in race or high-performance powertrain testing.
  • Solid understanding of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and driveline components.
  • Strong understanding of basic data acquisition principles, sensor types, CAN bus architecture, and general automotive electronics.
  • Proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with AVL Puma, AVL Concerto, AVL Indicom, or equivalent testing software.
  • Must hold or be eligible for a passport. International and domestic travel may be required to support racing activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Bosch Motorsport, Motec, Cosworth, and McLaren hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in C#, Python, MATLAB, VBA, or an equivalent programming language for data analysis and automation.
  • Exposure to motorsport or aerospace wiring practices (Mil-Spec).
  • Participation in Formula SAE (FSAE) is very highly preferred.
  • Possess a competitive spirit, a "can-do" attitude, and a genuine personal interest in motorsports.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage steady-state and transient test cycles, including race simulations, calibration automation, and performance benchmarking.
  • Execute hardware, calibration, and controls development tests on engine and driveline test cells.
  • Develop new standards and processes for software, calibration, and hardware sign-off to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage instrumentation and data acquisition systems across multiple cells and programs.
  • Schedule cell upgrades, Unit Under Test (UUT) changes, and hardware durability tests.
  • Oversee the full data lifecycle, including collection, storage, and result extraction, ensuring timely delivery to accompanying engineering teams.
  • Generate detailed reports, manage test data, and maintain rigorous documentation for record-keeping.
  • Manage engine sign-offs for customer race engines, serving as the final quality gate before delivery.
