About The Position
The Ground Hand is responsible for assisting the team in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist journeyman or apprentice lineman in performing required work. Assist in overhead and underground line construction, maintenance, and other miscellaneous semiskilled work. Assist with groundwork, perform traffic control work, maintain tools and material on the truck in good order and drive all-terrain vehicles. Setting and anchoring poles as well as setting and installing overhead structures. Assists crew in removing facilities, preparing cable for pulling, climbing ladders, working in trenches, framing poles and building cross arms. Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional manner.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts with extended hours.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
- CDL (Commercial Drivers License) required
