Requirements

  • Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program at an accredited university.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with or interest in SCADA protocols such as Modbus and DNP3.
  • Familiarity with or interest in electrical power generation, distribution, and/or microgrids.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other drawing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to project engineering efforts and work closely with multiple team members to directly support project work.
  • Develop an understanding of how to read and interpret electrical design drawings, including one-line, three-line, communication, and wiring diagrams.
  • Create and update electrical design drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing of S&C manufactured equipment, including developing procedures and performing physical testing.
  • Design and implement test environments for real-world applications in the hardware lab.
  • Design and develop communication libraries for the GridMaster Microgrid Control System.
  • Document and communicate effectively to internal stakeholders, including writing reports and delivering presentations.
