SLB New Energy & Industrial (NEI) is a division of SLB, a global company driving energy innovation for a balanced planet. NEI's portfolio includes ventures in carbon capture and sequestration, geothermal power, energy storage, sustainable battery-grade lithium, hydrogen, and Data center infrastructure solutions. Their Data Center infrastructure solutions business provides innovative and cost-effective solutions to build faster, smarter, and more resilient data centers, scaling AI and cloud computing capacity while minimizing capital risk and deployment delays. This involves standardizing components and relocating labor to controlled offsite environments to reduce costs, improve lead times, and lower construction risk. SLB is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Power Solutions Product Manager focused on data centers to oversee the direction and strategy of the product portfolio. This role requires close collaboration with other discipline product managers, business leaders, and technology managers to define product portfolio positioning, technology roadmap, and manage investments. The Power Solutions Product Manager must be customer-centric, understand the market landscape to prioritize developments, and is ultimately responsible for the financial performance of their product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ideally in electrical or power disciplines.
  • 15+ years of experience in power projects ideally in the large-scale data center space.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the power value chain from grid to load inside data centers.
  • Knowledge of the data center market players: clients, competitors, suppliers and market influencers especially within the power space.
  • Self-starter with ability to take calculated risks and drive business growth by translating market trends and competitive landscape into a winning business strategy.
  • Excellent listening and perspective-taking skills and ability to articulate, embody and model the mindset necessary for Customer Centricity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate strategy and inspire the workforce to drive innovation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product management and marketing principles, along with technical proficiency in the power domain for data centers.
  • Solid command of the company’s strategic direction and financial operations, including budgeting.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product management efforts related to data center power solutions through innovation and entrepreneurial spirit to build new products, adapt existing products and solutions and engage with the right partners to expand the portfolio.
  • Define and communicate business plans, product portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data center portfolio, working closely with the other discipline product managers.
  • Analyze market landscape and market trends, drive market research, perform competitive intelligence, identify market/product gaps (inclusive of emerging technologies) and define market opportunities for the portfolio.
  • In collaboration with Sales & Commercial (S&C), User Experience (UX) organization and Product Champions, we oversee customer research to define portfolio value and market strategies, including pricing.
  • maintain oversight of the roadmap and drive product initiatives from the ideation to retirement phase of the products.
  • Encourage and foster innovation within the data center business. In collaboration with Operations and Sales, make decisions on approving ideas or developing solutions that are tailored to specific geographies or customers, balancing time-to-market and cost with comprehensive solutions.
  • Drive the new product development roadmap and its business priorities, collaborate with technology development to manage the overall portfolio IP strategy and approve product development milestones and key deliverables, such as the Marketing Book and Launch Book.
  • Oversee Product commercialization strategies and track financial performance post-commercialization. Provide support to commercial centers and S&C with overall strategy for proposals of newly commercialized products.
  • Drive strategic initiatives in geographies and across divisions to grow the revenue and the profitability of the portfolio.
  • Continually assess the portfolio's performance, be accountable for marketing KPO flags and make strategic recommendations to drive the portfolio’s profitable growth.
  • Manage strategic partner relationships associated with the portfolio.
