About The Position

Job Title: Power Platform Developer (Power Apps / Power Automate) Client: Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT) / Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Location: Saint Paul, MN – Hybrid (Remote + Onsite) Worksite Address: 395 John Ireland Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55155 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – onsite at least two (2) days per week Analyze business requirements and design solutions using Microsoft Power Platform in Microsoft 365 GCC with a SQL database in Azure Commercial Cloud. Design overall application architecture for the ARTS replacement system. Develop Power Apps (Canvas Apps) for an internal project tracking application. Develop Power Automate workflows for multiple processes and components of the application. Build and integrate a front-end Customer Relationship Management (CRM) portal with Active Directory and other data sources. Integrate Power Apps and Power Automate with: SQL Server databases SharePoint document libraries Azure Active Directory Microsoft Teams Work closely with MNIT developers to improve applications and establish best practices. Serve as a Power Platform SME and provide formal knowledge transfer and mentoring to internal staff.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing with Microsoft Power Apps
  • InfoPath experience may substitute for one (1) year
  • 3+ years of experience developing with Microsoft Power Automate
  • Microsoft Flow experience may substitute for one (1) year
  • 3+ years of experience with .NET, Java, C#, or another development language (may supplement Power Platform experience)
  • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Premium Connectors with external databases
  • Minimum of two (2) engagements, each lasting more than six (6) months, in a Power Apps Developer role
  • Strong experience designing and developing complex model-driven and canvas apps using: Component reusability, Advanced data integration, Custom controls
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) for reusable UI components and extending model-driven apps
  • Proven ability to integrate Power Apps and Power Automate with: SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft Teams
  • Experience using APIs to integrate with third-party systems
  • Prior experience mentoring and training developers on Power Apps and Power Automate
