Power Platform Application Developer
About The Position
EvoTech is seeking a Power Platform Application Developer to design, build, and sustain business applications and workflow automation solutions supporting government mission operations. This role focuses on developing custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate integrated with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online environments to replace manual and legacy processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who can translate operational needs into secure, scalable solutions in a regulated environment. This position works closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver automated workflows, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain applications handling sensitive operational data. This is a full-time position supporting government operations in a structured, compliance-driven environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree
- Hands-on experience developing applications in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate)
- Experience working with SharePoint Online in support of applications (not solely administration)
- Strong understanding of structured data concepts and relational thinking
- Experience troubleshooting application and workflow issues
- Ability to translate operational processes into automated solutions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured government environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboards
- Experience supporting or migrating InfoPath or SharePoint Designer solutions
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts, SQL, or Dataverse
- Experience integrating Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 services
- Experience working in federal, law enforcement, or regulated environments
- Experience supporting systems containing sensitive operational information
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps
- Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate
- Modernize manual and legacy processes into automated digital solutions
- Troubleshoot, enhance, and sustain existing Power Platform solutions
- Integrate applications with Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online and Teams
- Gather and document requirements and translate them into functional applications
- Support mission operations through rapid solution development and issue resolution
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to improve business processes
- Debug and resolve application and workflow issues in production environments
- Support ongoing modernization efforts including transition of legacy SharePoint solutions to SharePoint Online and refactoring processes into Power Platform applications.
