About The Position

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Power Plant Operator Sr. to join the team. This role will be Full-time working night shifts, schedules are made a month in advance. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and apprentice training as a stationary engineer.
• 2 years of experience as a stationary engineer in a large power plant equipped with high pressure steam boilers, commercial air conditioning equipment and electrical generator systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to departmental/governmental safety standards and organizational/departmental personal appearance policies.
• Repair and maintain powerhouse equipment to minimize interruptions of utilities to the hospital.
• Maintain proper water quality for boiler water, condensate, water softeners and cooling towers to ensure that water is within proper limits to prevent damage to Power Plant equipment
• Maintain the Power Plant building and all equipment in prime condition, which promotes a clean and safe work environment that prevents personal injury and equipment damage
• Operate a wide variety of Power Plant equipment such as boilers, chilled water air conditioning equipment, pumps, air compressors and diesel-electric generators for the provision of utilities necessary for hospital operations
• Assume full responsibility for plant operations during evening and weekend/holiday shifts
